Neckline Slimmer: La Piece de resistence

Posted on September 28th, 2009 by Gina

necklineThere is nothing like afternoon television to enlighten a person about the newest youth-restoring sensations sweeping the nation.  There it was on Fox TV, the Neckline Slimmer, using the world’s first Resistance Toning System for necks.  With the investment of just 2 minutes a day, I can kiss my waddle-neck goodbye, once and for all.  Using a device that looks very similar to the vacuum pump I use to cork up my wine bottle in the morn…, er, evening, the device helps target specific muscles on the neck that cause double chins and drooping necks, ultimately reversing the sagging skin of time.

You use the gadget by sitting with good posture, and doing two different exercise routines – Neck-flection and Jaw-flection.  You place the device between your collar bone and chin and either nod up and down, or open and close your mouth – both motions compressing the Neck Slimmer to tighten muscles.  It comes with three different levels of tension coils – Beginner, Medium and Advanced, an instructional DVD, and for a few extra dollars, they will throw in Paul Younane’s European Firming Accelerator Cream.

Inventor of the Neckline Slimmer, Paul Younane is a “world-renowned physiotherapist” (aka, physical therapist), who sports the title “Professional Body Coach” for, logically, The Professional Body Company.  He is better known is some international circles, however, as having played professional rugby in Australia and the UK between 1979 and 1985.  Perhaps after playing arguably the roughest sport known to humankind, he decided to go into physical therapy.  His organization specializes in body sculpting programs, personal fitness and exercise equipment.

The cost is a mere $19.95 and this offer is not available in stores.  You have to call a special phone number that is listed on the website and mentioned a thousand times in the commercial.  People of any age can do the exercises and reverse the aging process in a few short weeks.  A mighty promise!

Oh, and when doing the exercises, the Professional Body Coach says you receive more benefit if you smile as you do them.

We have the same reaction.  How could you help but smile?

A short history of cosmetics

150BC Romans use yellow eye shadow.

The Romans preferred to use gold-colored eye shadow which was made from saffron and painted onto the area around the sides and under their eyes. Then they used powdered wood ash to color their eyelids black. This gold color was quite significant at the time because they saw themselves as the rulers of the Mediterranean.
